I’m really, really sorry that you’ve had such bad luck with Jake as well as with your ex-fiancee.

I’m a guy, and not all that monogamous by impulse, and I don’t know if I can help you. I also hesitate to advise you on tattoos — I don’t like tattoos that much. I think you need to engrave your inspiring quotations on your mind, or on your soul if we have souls — not necessarily on your skin.

But I wish you well as you search for independent happiness, based on what’s inside you — not based on what some man (like me) may happen to think of you.
